I've never written a review, but this is the first time I felt I needed to, one of the best Mediterranean spots I've been to. The shawarma was delicious, and really friendly in person!! I'm from California and I wish there was a location there too

I placed my order on ritual and upon picking it up was a little skeeved out. From the outside, no offense, the place looked like a dump. But as they say, crappy looking places sometimes have the best food and this place is no exception. I ordered shawafel plate and was surprised by the generous portion of meat and food in the plate. It was really really delicious also and definitely worth the price. The rice was a little on the drier side but the tahini fixed that real quick. The little side salad was a good addition also. All in all, really good lunch

I had the spicy chicken platter via Mealpal. Portion size was pretty decent, food was flavorful for the most part and the owner was friendly. One complaint that I did have was for the seasoning of the chicken and rice. It could've used a tad bit more flavoring (maybe herbs?), but other than that, my meal was delicious.
The basmati rice had a nice earthy aftertaste to it and was extremely aromatic. The sauces drizzled on top really complemented everything else well. The spinach leaves made the bowl seem hearty.
Overall, I had a pretty nice first experience here at Baba Ghanouge. I'd recommend this place if you're ever in the area and looking for a decent sized meal that won't break the bank. -

Pretty decent hole in the wall spot. I ordered a shawafel pita, which hit the spot and was more flavorful than I expected. Only complaint is that I ordered ahead for lunch pickup, but they didn't bother making my order until I arrived and asked for it (even though it was clearly not busy, and I was technically already "late" for the pick-up), and then disregarded my order requests so I had to tell them again in person as they were making it. Defeats the purpose of saving time by ordering ahead, but the food was okay.

Delicious. Don't let the rough around the edges look of this place e deter you; they make a tasty schwarma. The schwarma falafel wrap combo is excellent, and fully loaded. The wrap / laffa bread the use is thin, yet sturdy, and finished on the frill to give it a little bit of crispness. The schwarma salad is equally delicious.
